Riesling
The Prizewinning Virtuoso that Loves High Elevations
Known in the southern part of Alto Adige since as early as 1840, Riesling only drew attention to itself in the Val Venosta in the 1990s. But the higher elevations, including the Isarco Valley, fit it just fine. When completely fermented and vinified without any residual sugar, it develops a lively, dancing acidity and offers aromas of peach and citrus fruit. The great potential for aging of Alto Adige Riesling is revealed in majestic wines with fine aromas.
