Wine from the Dolomites

Founded in 1907, Weingut J. Hofstätter is among the most historic family-run wineries in Alto Adige and is today guided by the fifth generation. It is located in the historic heart of the renowned wine village of Tramin-Termeno, the cradle of Gewürztraminer, beside the striking Gothic church tower dating back to 1492.

On both sides of the Adige Valley, the estate’s vineyards are rooted in soils that tell a story of more than 250 million years of Earth’s geological history. Calcareous sediments and mineral-rich dolomite formations give the wines their character, expression, and uniqueness. Varying altitudes, soils, and microclimates shape wines that are deeply rooted in this exceptional terroir
